Rashtriya Uchchatar Shiksha Abhiyan (RUSA)

Rashtriya Uchchatar Shiksha Abhiyan (RUSA) is a Centrally Sponsored Scheme (CSS) in India aimed at improving higher education at the state level. Launched in 2013 by the Ministry of Education, RUSA provides funding and support to enhance the quality, accessibility, and governance of state universities and colleges.

Objectives of RUSA

• To improve the quality of higher education
• To ensure equity and accessibility in higher education
• To promote autonomy in state universities
• To enhance governance in educational institutions
• To establish a self-sustaining framework that fosters greater accountability
